We can help
Living with a different species can often present challenges…sometimes ineffective communication or unfulfilled needs can result in problematic behaviours. Are any of these behaviours present in your dog?
Excessive barking
Inappropriate digging and chewing
House training issues
Separation distress
Fear-based behaviour
Aggression
On-leash reactivity
Pulling on leash
Bayside Dog Behaviour can help you to better understand your dog’s behaviour, and develop tailored training and management plans to address such issues. Or, perhaps you have just acquired a new puppy or rescue dog and want some help with training foundation behaviours... we can help with that too!
Our philosophy
At Bayside Dog Behaviour, we believe animal welfare is always paramount. Dogs are sensitive, sentient beings who deserve to be treated with kindness and compassion. Our knowledge of dog behaviour has increased significantly over the past few decades; we now know, through rigorous scientific research, that it is not necessary to use corrections or aversive tools to achieve desirable changes in behaviour. As ethical trainers, we follow the principles of the Hierarchy of Behaviour Change Procedures, as developed by Dr. Susan Friedman (2019).
